We had to cancel this show in April due to illness. However, the sets were up, the costumes fit and our actors were eager to bring you this play. We are so happy that everyone’s availability allows us to reschedule this play to our June slot, so that you can enjoy all the hard work that is going into this Classic Comedy by the brilliant Oscar Wilde!

We know from all we’re hearing that the pandemic is still with us so our theatre will continue to adhere to all Public Health advice and guidelines. At the time of writing this, mask wearing is not required, but we support each person’s plan to feel safe and secure and so if wearing a mask works for you, please do. If it doesn’t, that’s okay too. If Public Health rules change, so will ours.

Please note that for this show, matinees are on the Sundays.

THE STORY: The story concerns Lady Windermere, who suspects that her husband is having an affair with another woman; she confronts him with it. Although he denies it, he invites the other woman, Mrs Erlynne, to his wife’s birthday ball. Angered by her husband’s supposed unfaithfulness, Lady Windermere decides to leave her husband for another lover. After discovering what has transpired, Mrs Erlynne follows Lady Windermere and attempts to persuade her to return to her husband and in the course of this, Mrs Erlynne is discovered in a compromising position.
